Who we work with
We are a 100% volunteer crew. Trail maintenance wears out tools and gear. We often supply our own gear but if you can help us with that, it will definitely help reduce the burden on our volunteer crew members.
Donations can be directed to us through our partner, Backcountry Horsemen of Washington, Peninsula Chapter. BCHW is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization. Tap the link near the bottom or the picture at the top, that will take you to the actual BCHW donation page.
On the donation page follow these short steps:
Fill in the required contact information
In the blank white box labeled "comments that you want the state or chapter to know" write Peninsula / GWTC. (that will direct the funds to this crew).
Scroll down to Gray Wolf Trail Crew / Peninsula (under Peninsula Chapter), check the box and enter your donation amount.
Alternatively, you can send a check:
Make it out to BCHW.
On the memo line write Peninsula / GWTC.
Mail check to: BCHW, Peninsula Chapter, PO Box 451, Carlsborg, WA 98324
You will get a letter of thanks from Peninsula Chapter as your official receipt.
We thank you for your donation!
You are a part of keeping trails open.
Here are a couple of great examples of how we use donations that folks have generously made to our crew.
> "Travis tool" which is basically 4 tools in one. Clever design.
> Trail Boss packable tool sets. Each one has handle sections and tool attachments of shovel, mcleod and adz / hoe. This packable and versatile tool will allow us to do things like dig under the trees, clean up and repair the tread afterward, address any drainage and tread issues as we go from tree to tree. It will be amazing to have so many tools that pack down into such a small space. Great for packing in on the mules too!
These tools will help us have more on hand when we're working in the backcountry, but with less weight and bulk. This leads to more productivity and better maintained trails. Thank you!
